CROHN'S DISEASE
Dr David Dowson (1980s) has reported several cases of Crohn's disease that were helped by excluding foods that contain phenyl-iso-thio-cyanate (PITC). These include all soy, beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cocoa, chocolate, all dairy products, lamb, onion, peas, peppercorn, radish, tomato, green and red peppers, and turnip. Cow’s milk is the most important foodstuff to be avoided: oat milk and rice milk are safe alternatives.
Otherwise the management of Crohn’s disease is similar to for irritable bowel syndrome.
